Othmar Grueninger (exchange student from Germany) hosts his maiden tour with DePauw Students and meets his wife Libby.
1956
Othmar and Libby start a full-service travel agency.
1963
Grueninger Travel Services (GTS) escorted our first band to the Rose Parade.
1966
Grueninger invests in three Pullman Train Cars to take passengers to the Montreal Expo.
1967
Grueninger continues to escort students around Europe.
1973
GMT escorted our first band to the 37th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
1973
George Mickleson launched his dream forming AmbassadairTravel Club.
1975
GMT escorted our first band to King Kamehameha Parade in Hawaii.
1984
Grueninger invests in a motorcoach to show guests around the country.
1991
Othmar and Libby’s son Michael joins the team after graduating from Indiana University.

Grueninger’s purchase the Ambassadair assets from ATA including Ambassadair Groups & Incentives and Amber Travel.

Grueninger’s makes a substantial investment in the King Kamehameha Parade.
