Day 1

WED., NOV 29 – DAY 1: DEPART USA

  • Overnight trans-Atlantic flight
Day 2

THURS., NOV 30 – DAY 2: NORMANDY

  • Upon arrival at the airport meet your tour manager, and coach driver (enroute to Versailles, enjoy a breakfast snack on the motorcoach) and transfer to Versailles Palace for a visit. This splendid and enormous palace was built in the mid-17th century during the reign of Louis XIV – the Roi Soleil (Sun King) – to project the absolute power of the French monarchy, which was then at the height of its glory.
  • After your visit of the Castle, meet your tour manager and walk to a local restaurant for a lunch.  After lunch, continue to Caen.  Check in your hotel in Caen – Hotel Novotel Caen Côte de Nacre.  Distance Paris – Caen is approx. 170 miles. By coach approx. 3 hours.  After the check-in, enjoy free evening to discover the city, dinner on own tonight.

Day 3

FRI., DEC 1 – DAY 3: NORMANDY

  • After breakfast, head to the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Discover the visitors center and get a full impression of what happened on the beaches that day (D-Day, June 6th, 1944).  You will also discover the cemetery that contains the graves of 9,386 of our military dead, most of whom lost their lives in the D-Day landings and ensuing operations. After your visit, head towards the memorial for a commemorative performance to pay our respects at the hundreds of crosses and stars of David for the deceased.
  • This afternoon continue to Bayeux, and spend some free time to discover this lovely village and get lunch on your own. Bayeux was extremely fortunate to avoid most of the destruction and tragedy following D-Day that other Normandy towns suffered. For a very moment, Bayeux was capital of Free France and General Charles de Gaulle came to give a stirring speech here, arriving hot on the heels of the Allied forces in June 1944.  Optional visit to a fantastic Tapestry Museum in Bayeux.
  • After your visit in Bayeux, continue to Caen for a marching performance at the Christmas market.
  • Group dinner in Caen area and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4

SAT., DEC 2 – DAY 4: NORMANDY – PARIS

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out.  This morning, head for Rouen and spend some free time in this famous city.  A true museum town, Rouen is not to be missed with its beautiful half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and Gothic churches. Rouen was the scene of the martyrdom of Jeanne d’Arc, who was condemned and burned in 1431 on the Place du Vieux Marché. Rouen is also known as the “City of 100 steeples”. 
  • After free time and lunch on your own in Rouen, head back to your bus and transfer to Paris.
  • This afternoon upon arrival in Paris, check in at your hotel – BB Hotel Batignolles. Get some free time to discover the city of lights.  Group welcome to Paris dinner is included this evening.

Day 5

SUN., DEC 3 – DAY 5: PARIS

  • Breakfast at the hotel, and this morning enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Paris. See the highlights of Paris such as Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and much more!   Lunch on own today along the Champs Elysees.
  • This afternoon, head towards “Jardin d’acclimatation” for a Christmas festival marching performance. After your performance, a special extra performance on the Champs Elysées – subject to audition and pending approval and availability.  Group dinner included and overnight Paris.
  • Optional visit and group photo at the Arc de Triomphe rooftop, pending the timing of the parade!

Day 6

MON., DEC 4 – DAY 6: PARIS

  • Breakfast and free day to explore Paris.  Today is a great day to independently visit the Louvre Museum and other great Paris landmarks at your leisure, via the Paris metro system.  Optional Paris metro available for kiosk purchase.
  • Hotel overnight in Paris – 4 star or better

Day 7

TUES., DEC 5 – DAY 7:  PARIS

  • Breakfast at hotel.   After breakfast at your hotel, get some free time to discover the city on own. Late afternoon transfer to Montmartre.  Stroll through this great area Former colony of artists in the 19th century. Famous artists like Van Gogh, Picasso and Toulouse-Lautrec worked and lived here. Today you can still meet artists at the top of the hill.   A visit to nearby Sacre Coeur can be made.  Optional Paris metro available for kiosk purchase.
  • Enjoy farewell dinner cruise along the Seine, with stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 8

WED., DEC 6 – DAY 8: RETURN

  • Time to say goodbye – RETURN TO USA
